Detroit High Schools Teach How To Work at Walmart - Equalize This - GOOD

Guess it's for the best. Being an entrepreneur isn't a good idea in a socialist system.

I don't know if slave wages and relying on the government for employees Health Care is Socialist or Facsit but I agree that our Public Schools are there to produce minimum wage workers

It can be either. Fascism or socialism is basically the same thing with regards to planned economies. The only real difference is that instead of commissars, you have corporate-government bureaucrats. Public schools teaching children to work in menial positions is demeaning. No job in wal-mart focuses on production, merely on pushing merchandise. Even a factory job would be better.

From the story:

"Unclear is whether Walmart will pay the minimum wage of $7.25 or the $4.25 per hour (http://www.dol.gov/whd/regs/compliance/posters/minwagebw.pdf - broken link)the Department of Labor allows for the first 90 days of employment of a minor."

More government and corporate interests working together to keep the people stupid and satisfied. CHANGE baby!

I believe kids should be taught a work ethic by the schools if their parents will not or cannot teach it. I do not believe that taxes should be used for Walmart training. Walmart took advantage of school board simpletons.

I don't see the big deal. Sounds to me they're helping them attain their first job, giving them something to put on a resume/application for their next job after that.

Expect them to walk into a job in management when they're in high school? Please...
