I love the Phoenix 1901 song used in this Cadillac commercial. Does that count?

Yeah, you could argue that the sales would have been up even more if not for the boycott - and that MIGHT be true - except that apparently GM sales were down in the NE (which was hammered by snow) but UP double digits everywhere else and the low sales in the NE lowered the total sales - which otherwise would have shown an even greater increase than the 12% GM ended up with.

Yup, that boycotts just driving GM sales lower and lower ain't it?
NOT!

Keep trying though, you'll get something right eventually (well, maybe not).

Looks like Ford was able to weather the same weather that GM couldn't.

While Ford reported a 43% increase in U.S. sales in February, much of the gain was due to a 74% jump in fleet sales to businesses such as rental car companies. Sales to consumers rose a more modest 28% from last February, which was the worst month for the industry in nearly two decades.

Can we stop calling GM a american car company.
Parts made in china, canada, and mexico. The only Americans working are the few hand full on some planets still left here and the CEO's. The rest of the Americans arent working and still getting paid via the union agreement.
GM should have failed not because it was American but because of POOR business decisions.
GM was big enough to fail... since most of the jobs would leave idiot management and ceo's without jobs. The rest could probably find better employment with Toyota seems they have alot of cars to fix. :-)

Well there is no doubt Ford is doing better than GM. That hardly means the GM boycott is working. All it means is Ford is doing better than GM. At the moment however BOTH companies are picking up (in spite of any boycott of GM).

Cash for Clunkers is long gone. You're living in the past. GM sales are improving now even without it.

Ford's management was far more progressive earlier this decade than GM was. It was bound to happen.

Like the average American knows or cares who is behind the company. Yeah, right. Without the gov't. , they wouldn't be here today.
