USA Buys 14 Million+ Guns In 2009 - More Than 21 of the Worlds Standing Armies

Washington, DC --(AmmoLand.com)- Data released by the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) for the year reported 14,033,824 NICS Checks for the year of 2009, a 10 percent increase in gun purchases from the 12,709,023 reported in 2008.
So far that is roughly 14,000,000+ guns bought last year!
The total is probably more as many NICS background checks cover the purchase of more than one gun at a time by individuals.

I haven't bad had personally. I didn't buy any guns during the run up in prices. When I saw cheapo Romanian AKs being sold for $800, that's when I knew it was unsustainable.

I'm waiting for them to lift the ban in Chicago. Once they do I'm packing. I have to be ready for those tea baggers when they conduct their violent coup, I mean revolution.

Joey, can you provide any kind of proof that the Tea Party people have caused any kind of violence other than being attacked by union members like the black man in St. Louis was attacked by SEIU shirt wearers? I think you really should prove what you intimated would happen.

Good idea! Every law abiding citizen should arm themselves. Although, I doubt Andersen Cooper will be starting a revolution.
