Absolutely. This president does nothing but communicate, but I'm convinced he thinks most people aren't very bright. The "cling to guns or religion" remark was very telling about a certain mindset, one embraced by liberals and any number of people who fancy themselves intellectuals.

People just don't trust Obama, especially when he makes comments about healthcare not adding to the deficit. Everyone knows there isn't a single entitlement that hasn't blown way out of proportion.

Obama has a trust problem with the American people, there is nothing Axelrod can do to change that.

Good lord, for a while there he was on TV practically every day, hawking his obamacare. The American people heard all they needed to hear last year, but it's convenient for obama to claim his message is not getting out.

Obama feels that anyone who disagrees with him simply doesn't understand the message and/or is stooopid. I mean afterall, how could anyone disagree?? The man is Clueless with a capital C.

I love the way Gibbs was described in one Op Ed as the man who paves the path with rose petals before Obama walks the path.

David Axelrod, Obama's Message Maven, Finds Fingers Pointing at Him - NYTimes.com
“Believe me, if we were charting this administration as a political exercise, the first thing we would have done would not have been a massive recovery act, stabilizing the banks and helping to keep the auto companies from collapsing,” he said. “Those would not even be the first hundred things he would want to do.”

So whose brainstorm was that? 0bama had no clue what to do, so just handed over the reins of power to the legislature and they spent $800 billion and over 10,000 earmarks on a huge Washington styled shopping spree.
