I see nothing wrong with trying to get a license plate number. We shouldn't have to expect to be shot, that's unreasonable. She did nothing wrong. In fact, she did what everyone should do...by the book.
Why is when someone with a carry permit whether it be self defense or possibly murder the media doesn't hesitate to say that the person has a carry permit? I never hear them say when a murderer that doesn't have a permit used an illegal gun.
It kind of goes without saying then, don't it? By power of assumption.
Incidentally, she is a local university police officer, off duty at the time of the incident. Her actions are completely blameless.
I understand whom she works for and I understand she was not on duty. As I said, I am not trying to blame the victim (or her mother). My actions would not have been the same with a child in the car, that is all. Have brought the article to LEO since my original post and they have agreed that they would have left family out and not pursued.
Thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the girl who was senselessly killed.
The last time I checked, a hit and run was not the act of a law abiding citizen.
Nor is it a Crime that carries the Death Penalty, how old was she?
