That's the wonderful thing about science, you can prove it wrong and it's accepted based on facts and peer reviews. Scientists used to say the world was flat and at the center of the universe. We proved that wrong.
Religion, on the other hand, says it is infallible, incapable of mistake, and regardless of fact and reality, it must be accepted at all times.
When science becomes a religion, and when religion tries to be science, they are both wrong.
After reading your post, I have no idea what you are saying. Your points seem to be contradictory and confused.
thats part of the humor in the post. it was designed to be that way.

boy do i agree with you on this. i have always said that there is no reason that god and science cannot coexist peacefully. but unfortunately too many pick one side or the other, and get set in their beliefs regardless of whether they are right or wrong.

What it means is people believe in Science when it is convenient for them to believe. When it doesn't add up, they go to religion. People can't make up their damn minds.
So you dont go to hosptals nor take injections nor take prescriptions nor travel the internet nor drive an automobile nor enjoy anything else that science has offered. Like hell you dont!

I doubt that "science" EVER said that the earth was flat and at the center of the universe.
The problem remains the ideological true believers who have usurped the conversation.

Sigh.
Sarcasm 101 was a good class. I enjoyed it. Some haven't taken it yet. Sigh.
Try reading the Onion, some day. Introduce some humor into your life. You'd have a far smaller chip on your chiulder, Ye Olde Internet Tough Guy.
You almost had me with "fool" then I realized, you're just trolling. Are you telling me that two out of every creature in the world couldn't fit into the Ark? Say it ain't so, bro. Say it ain't so. They were micronized by God. That's it. It's buried in the allegory somewhere. Kind of like how plants survived that said animals could live on. Or how all that water just "disappeared" instead of turning the world into a non life sustainable global greenhouse.
You're like a chicken teaching a chicken how to be a chicken. The other chicken scratches his head and says, "Brawk?" Peacher. Choir. I'm done here.
I have read the Onion- it is funny.
The "great flood" involved the world as ancient men in the Middle East knew it. There is some evidence of a cataclysmic flood that occurred approximately 8,000 BC, in which an earthquake caused a dramatic rise in the level of the Black Sea due to changes in the floor of the Bosporous straits. http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/evi...ry?id=17884533
Again, the Bible is written by men, describing the world around them, and the message of Christ and God via allegories.
When one points out obvious inconsistencies in pieces written and translated many times, one calls that "revelation" a master of the obvious.
