on race it actually said "black, african-american, or negro". Umm, aren't they all the same thing? For Asian, why did they list so many versions of Asian but only one catagory for white? Perhaps I should have checked "other" and listed French/Indian (native American). What about white: English, Scottish, Irish, French, Italian, German, etc.? No, whites aren't important in the census. Only other races and cultures are important. All it should have said is "Are you a legal American citizen, yes or no". If yes, continue to next question. If no, stop and mail form back.

Yep pretty much.I see pelosi is talking about knocking this door down obviously talking about the health care bill they can make more reforms. I give them 2 years tops and Obama is made president for life. All these wonderful "reforms" he is making.
Thats right. Hope and Change is HERE! I'm glad you all know what time it is. Izzy, if your prediction is right (and I know it is) you have only 2 more years to keep talking smack about your King. Loyal subjects like me won't take kindly to your disrespect. At least you will get one corrective interview and a chance to reform. Most dictators have a zero tolerance policy towards nonconformists.

I thought it was kinda confusing. Many of the "races" listed are actually nationalities. So I figured that "White" must mean White Russian or Belorussian.
Then there was "Black" and I remember hearing that my grandfather was Black Irish, so I must be black, you know, from Black Ireland.
The census stressed that Hispanic is not a race. But it didn't give a clear definition of what it is. As far as I could tell "Hispanic" means something to do with Spain or Portugal somehow. Texas was part of New Spain and Mexico, so I must be Hispanic also.
So there you go, I am Black/Hispanic, as far as the census is concerned.
It's required by law, so it says. Why should I give the government all my information so they can use it to control over look what every does.
I feel my freedom is violated.
Read the " Some handy information when filling out the census" thread.
You all have a place to write it down if you want to be specific. It's in the "Some other race" box. Use it
