Compared to the other things Catholic priests do with school boys today...a slap in the face seems tame!

Some might call it foreplay.

The catholic church is evil.

They abuse children and shuffle the abusers to different churches.

They tell people in Africa not to use condoms and AIDS kills the poor and uneducated.

And the Nazi Pope lives in a palace and wears Prada shoes and has a Fabulous hat and his handbag is on fire but ... WHAT ever!

Just give some more money to the church because you're too stupid to figure out that it's all a scam ...

Now a days the kid would slap him and probably worse AND get away with it. Sad.

When I was of school-age in Louisiana, our kindergarten teachers could take us to the bathroom, with another teacher as witness, and paddle our behinds with our pants down around our ankles. This was at, East Leesville Elementary School, corporal punishment was alive and well.Which i'm sure most would deem child abuse these days.

It's incredible to think about how much the Catholic Church has covered up or gotten away with over the decades.
yep. beating people into submission does not directly result in a full catholic church offering envelopes....duh.

I wouldn't, particularly.

I'm liberal on most things, but not on corporal punishment. I think we could get rid of 2/3 of the prisons if we adopted corporal punishment for criminals.

Hell hath froze over. I agree with ya.

Slapping pupils- Big deal. We had staff guys punch us in medical school and residency and shout the most obscene things one had ever heard to us all the time. Toughen up.

My kids have gone to parochial schools and were slapped a few times- they had it coming. I am just glad there was someone there to pop them, as they would have faced alot worse when they got home.
