Sorry politicians are about self preservation first. Maybe Obama can lose a second term but he is set for the rest of his life. These low level congressman are not set if they lose their seats. Massachussetts made these politicians realize that it's not just a bunch of hillbilly teabaggers protesting, there are other unhappy voters who are not parading outside the lawn
I would like to believe that there are enough House Dems that recognize it's political suicide to vote yes. However, Pelosi, as despicable as she is, seems to be able to garner the votes needed. I think she may be able to pull it off.

Maybe Pelosi will promise lucrative lobbyist positions to those who agree to sacrifice themselves for a 'yea' vote.

If this were, as Pelosi claimed, the most ethical and transparent Congress ever, then we WOULDN'T NEED to wait until the bill is passed to see what is in it because we would already know. Her comment proves the covert process itself. What she really means is once the bill is passed, it doesnt matter what's in it because we're all screwed.

Maybe she's an android.

Why should we have to pass a bill to find out it sucks when the majority of americans already know it sucks.

Being transparent or not has nothing to do with the righties, screaming, lying and trying to scare the ever living hell out of people.

True genius. It's like looking into an IED to see if it explodes. San Fran Nan has to be one of the biggest idiots ever to hold an elected office, let alone occupy the position of Speaker of the House. I get the distinct impression that she is suffering from dementia and is mad as a march hare.

If that horrid hag Pelosi, not to mention President Obama had BEEN TRANSPARENT it wouldn't matter what anybody screamed or lied about. There would be the hearings on C span to watch. You know the TRUTH. But Obama has hidden this crap for a reason. People have the right to scream at this being rammed down our throats. The Obama admin is disgraceful and hopefully will fail! I can't wait until November. They are going to have the arses handed to them for this behavior.
