................So that is why we must be urged to pass it to "find out what is in it"? Suppose I choose door number three, and it is a debt of $1.4 trillion with little benefit for the average citizen? Or how about door number two, which provides care to illiegals, reduces coverage for medicare, and jacks up everyone's insurance costs?

This is not "Let's Make a Deal", in which we blindly choose options to seek "prizes". It is America. Typically, we like to know what is in legislation before passing it.

Is Nancy Pelosi the biggest idiot in the world or what? I'll bet people in other countries just laugh thier asses off when they see what fools we have in power.

No, you should find out what's in it. You are apparently unwilling to take the time. Since you're unwilling, yes, you will have to wait to see what's in it. There are no cuts in Medicare coverage and does not jack up everyone's ins. costs.

Just where, on the internet, does one find the complete bill?

I thought this is what Barry said he was going to do. What about the CSPAN coverage? All we get is San Fran Nan saying we have to pass it to find out what is in it, or the "White House summary" of what is in the bill. I am afraid, with the record of this administration, that I would prefer to see the actual bill, rather than the bill as told by Barry.

Bob, do you realize that the bill being considered is not publically available presently?

For those who do not have insurance it costs MUCH more than that.....

Nita

What is sad and scary is all the lies and nonsense the right have said about this bill, that is what Pelosi was referring to.

BTW, I wish democrats would make up their minds, are mammograms viewed as a preventive screening, "something that is extremely important at catching potential diseases and illnesses early in the process and before they happen", or are the wasting resources and we need to schedule them later in life?
Those who do not have access to healthcare do not receive preventative care. They don't go to cancer screenings, they don't have annual checkups, etc. This directly leads to potential diseases and illnesses to be caught much later than it otherwise would have been, which makes it more difficult to treat, increases the severity of the problem, increases the fatality chances, and if they do seek treatment (in the ER or elsewhere) becomes much more expensive to treat. And who do you think pays for that??

That whole thing has already been debunked and shot down. Mammograms are viewed as preventive screenings in the bill.

i suggest that everyone take the time to read the CBO report. most of the alleged "savings" are from taxes, penalties, and service reductions, if you read it.

here is the revised report and discretionary costs were not included in the evaluation:

According to the morning news the bill has not even been written in its entirety. However, when it is, go to the website for the U.S. House and look up the legislation. The only things we, the public have to judge from right now is the Senate bill (go to US Senate website & pull it up).

Since the entire bill has not been written the CBO scoring is hypothetical based only upon what has been put before them.

Obama and Congress are playing "Deal or No Deal" with our $$ and not allowing anyone to actually see the rules (which Harry Reid is rewriting as I type) or the legislation.

I say : NO DEAL. The stakes are too high to allow any more legislation to be blindly passed. Start over, do this the right way where it will actually decrease the cost to the consumers and substantially decrease our debt.

The arrogance of Obama trying to lead the American people to believe that we must wait for additional legislation before Washington comes down heavy on current fraud within the system is unreal. It is a downright dereliction of duty not to cut loopholes allowing fraud and to aggressively prosecute those who perpatuate Medicare & SS fraud.
