I get to HEAR a lot of "24" since others in the family are apt to put it on. I find it most intriguing for its complete mangling of DC geography in episodes that are set here. I don't think they've gotten the name of a Metro station right yet, but I think my favorite was when poor Jack got caught in Beltway traffic near Bethesda while trying to get over to Virginia. He proudly announces that he is going to take "the 355" instead. First of all, nobody uses the word "the" with route numbers. You can take 50, or 66, or 295, but THE can only be followed by thinks like BW or GW Parkway, or of course, Beltway. Meanwhile, if Jack had taken 355, which is actually Rockville Pike, he would have been stuck in monumental traffic and troubled also by the fact that the road doesn't go anywhere near Virginia.

Jack's from LA! He is an outside the beltway kind of counter terrorist!

Well, two things here, saganista.

You're probly the one person watching (or overhearing) who knows his way around DC.

And, this week took place between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m.

It wouldn't be the same without Chloe, just had to happen. Starbuck needs to get her head back on earth and learn a few things from Chloe. Did you see how they all took notice to the way she rattled off the detail Jack needed without requiring to be prodded for info?

Yeah, could be. He does seem to have a pretty good track record from what I hear. And I really shouldn't complain about "24" too much. There was some Tom Crusie movie I think it was where there's this emotional scene of him walking out on the Mall and looking back to watch the sun set behind the Capitol. Very touching, except for the fact that when you're on the Mall looking toward the Capitol, you're facing east. Artistic license, I guess...
