You righties just love to twist words.

I am sure they meant they want to recruit people to fight for gay rights.
No one is "recruited" into being gay or lesbian. Either you're gay or you're not.

The last I checked and correct me if I'm wrong but doing what you want is natural isn't it? So if two people want to be with each other the natural thing for them to do is to do it? Correct? I am thinking about Jimmy Swaggart and his crusade against the levels of pornography. Do you remember how this story ended?

They were very effectively punished for being different. I am not like everyone else and so I feel for those that are different.

Take a good hard look at what was normal behavior in ancient Greece.

But to teach this in school is wrong .
There's no hate in my reply...I stated EXACTLY what I felt in clear, concise, easily read language...it's only hate because I'm not buying that 'boooo! hissss! gays and everything about them are EVIL!!' okey-doke you're trying to sell...

And your use of the term 'homo' tells me exactly what you're thinking too---freedom = what I believe is right, and if you don't believe it too, then you're a gay-loving donkeyhead!...try again ...school curriculum and the teaching of it are something the academic community doesn't need to place a feverish 3am phone call to you to ask your permisssion to teach it

I have no idea what that even means. Do you have that information about fisting that I requested?

School would have been much wiser to eliminate the whole "date" aspect to the prom and simply bill as a formal evening of entertainment but I've learned to not expect any open-minded solutions from most school admin/board types.

Wrong ! Many are reruited . A kid gets hurt by a first love . Some other kid who has ben indoctrinated by the agenda ' taught by our unionized teachers ' comes along and shows ' compassion ' then tells them they are not straight anyway .

If this were true, there wouldn't be so many who swing both ways, and most of the pitiful kids do now .

You've got a point.

When I learned about the holocaust in school, I became a Nazi.

I guess you become EVERYTHING you're taught in school.

Nobody is teaching anyone about becoming gay... You cannot catch 'the gay' from anyone.

And during my high school class they mentioned alternative lifestyles and nobody batted an eye and nobody decided to become gay because of it. Sheesh.

Putting that girl in a tux would be criminal.
Mississippi Prom Canceled After Lesbian Date Request

You can see a picture of her at the link.

In any case, I'm with you eliminating the whole date aspect. I didn't attend my high school prom (thought it was a waste of money) but I know people get really worked up over the whole date thing.

Most of the kids at the school are fine with them attending.
You should see the documentary "Prom Night in Misssissippi." It's about a town's first interracial prom. I think this happened in 2007 or 2008.
