I though the stimulus selling point was that we can't afford to spend less?
Regardless of the CBOs numbers, the senate bill is trouble in the house as it heavily taxes those with existing, good healthcare plans (read union employees.) And there is the rub. . . and it's amusing to see the level of trust house dems have for their senate party colleagues to correct with a second bill.
