Yes, thanks. I do know what irrelevancy is, JTraik.

Perhaps the intent of my response to RedWingsFan wasn't clear to you:

RedWingsFan had asked who would protect VT.
I respond by asking a question designed to point out that the VT Air National Guard arrived on the scene of the 9 11 attacks extremely quickly - suggesting VT holds it's own in national defense and can hold it's head high when the defense of the country is discussed.

And, no, I don't support VT leaving the USA - the VT succession movement is nothing more than amusement. I know nobody who takes it seriously. It's just an amusing topic of conversation.

You are so getting a rep point for that.

Quebec actually could, and nearly did, but won't.

VT won't even try. It's just a bunch of amateur history buffs daydreaming, ...along with a few crazies and malcontents.

Well, we should let them secede. Then we'll invade them, take over their resources and land, and bring them back in.

T'would be very comical to watch.

The cruelest thing to do to Vermont would be to build a bunch of WalMarts and make them shop for clothes there.

How about replacing all of their grocery stores with Bottom Dollar?

That would sting.

Also, we could outlaw boxer briefs. The poor dears would have to go commando in the snow.

Outlaw shoes. Better effect.

So, we let them secede. But before we do, we replace all of their stores with Wal-mart and Bottom Dollar. We also make undergarments (hahah!) and shoes illegal.
