Since most things he promotes have not yet caused an effect, your question is premature.

But because of where these things may lead, one immediate effect has been that I have tightened the purse strings enough to be still postponing full actual retirement living.
Since lack of general spending is a factor in the continuing economic situation, I would have to say I am not the only one reluctant to start eating into what 'retirement' funds we still have left or continuing to save, rather than spend, as the case may be.
That overall lack of spending is causing an effect right now that affects us all.

Perhaps an attitude adjustment is what you need, along with a reality check.
There is plenty of rabid hatred for Obama on this thread and other threads as well, also in the mainstream media.
Many posters have not declared any personal hardships that can be directly attributed to Obama, but they just like to refer to him as commie, anti-American, etc. etc.
By accusing Obama of nationalizing American corporations, plotting against America, and various other sinister, evil deeds, the anti-Obama crowd wants to legitimize their rabid hatred.

Many people here constantly rant and rave about Obama. What negative effects has the Obama Administration had on your life. Has he caused you to lose your job? Your home? Instigated domestic strife?
The troops are still in the same places where Bush sent them. The Patriot Act has been extended. So what are the negative results in your life that you can directly attribute to Obama being the President? Please be specific.
Suffering? None. At least not yet. I simply disagree with his policies. I disagreed with Nixon too, but he was not the end of the world. Disagreement does not equate with suffering. Unless Obama has a Great Leap Forward up his sleeve.

Considering he is carrying on with most of Bush's policies, I reckon it is you, Visvaldis, who is suffering.

Are you joking? You just listed some of them.
Troops still in the places Bush sent them, no healthcare, same spending....basically he is George Bush III.

The irony here is that you are trying to make out the Reps for being hypocrites for loving Bush but hating Obama for doing the same things. This is true, but wait for it.....all the people that hated Bush for the war etc. love Obama for doing the same things.

There is little difference between the actions of the political parties.

The anti-war movement died with the last election, it no longer was cool...way to stick to your principles.

Do you live in oblivion?
You do realize that what is promised is different from what they LET him do. Apparently many of you have never took or feel asleep during civics class. The president can suggest whatever he wants but the senate and the house has to also be in agreement, which they are not. He can't even "muscle" a bill through w/o compromise b/c every key politician wants to either add or subtract from the original bill. Sadly most of the changes are from his own party! The Rufuticans are simply stalling so that they can say that the dumbocrats did nothing eventhough they have a majority.

I believe many of Obama's supporters are fraustrated with him b/c he tried to get the refuticians to work with him and they won't so they feel that he should do what the privious administration did and just push whatever he wants through.

What bothers me is that the folks from the teabagged group actually believe what the insurance companies are telling them eventhough the majority of them already have good insurance.

But riddle me this, if the refuticians really care soooo much about the american people why did'nt they fix the healthcare probelm? It seems to me that they "fixed" Iraq's healthcare probelm by building hospitals on the american tax payor's dime!

One more thing, since when did the national debt become such an issue? During the war millions of dollars disapeared in Iraq and not a peep was heard from the fiscally responsible party. Now it is a probelm! Here is another question, when there was a surplus and Bush and the boys ran it into a deficeit where was the outrage?

No wonder politicians don't take the average american seriously
