I just don't say the pledge. I stand up and that's all.
If religious people need to try and force people to say 'god' so they can publicly validate their belief system, that's on them not me.
You should stand and be silent. I have respect for the flag of this country but like you I think God has no business in it. We are a secular nation and the pledge should reflect that fact.

That's exactly what I do.
I was actually asked to leave class in High School multiple times because I wouldn't say the pledge.
Why do you want to take so much pride in the history of a nation that was built on the back of genocide, slavery and the outright theft of land from Mexico? I think that those people were pathetic myself. We need to move in a more European direction.
It was the land of my Father's pride. The land where my Mother died.
Like no other. Especially anything Europe had, or has to offer.
You want 75% of your earnings going to the government, like Europe and the UK?
Well, you might as well be a slave, then.

LOL... that was a European direction. You've aged since then.
You could have said the Pledge and omitted, "Under God". What was the problem with that?
I don't pick and choose. For me, it's all or nothing involving the pledge. If I omit one thing, is the rest of it all that meaningful?
