I have said this before. It isnt functional to racially profile someone. This is a good example. Everyone expected a Middle-Eastern looking jihadist and male. Blond, blue-eyes female is what we are seeing here. Not all Muslims support terrorism and not are persons who support terrorism are Muslim. How is racial profilng functional or beneficial to a Muslim or person of Middle-Eastern descent who isn't a terrorist, who likes this nation, who is a decent person? Please explain that to me.
True. Racial profiling attempts are prone to miss the bill entirely b/c they WILL recruit folks who a) are not Middle Eastern b) who are not "Arab looking" c) who are not even Muslim. The idea that all our enemies are of a specific (foreign) origin, race or creed is infantile.
I disagree. Profiling will continue to catch terrorists before they can kill. It is apparent now that jihadists have targeted emotionally unstable women via the internet. That is the next area that must be addressed.

Profiling young Muslim men is what we need to do, it does not mean you ignore all others, it simply means you do not ignore the young Muslim men who represent 90% of all terrorists.

Suspects are released and a file is sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions who decides if charges are to be made.
