A child does NOT have a say as to where the child's parent takes them for medical treatment.

If they lived in some backwoods town out in the wilderness, the medical care there probably was some old veterinarian that also doubled as a medical doctor for humans.

There are some cities located in unincorporated areas (even in this day and age) that do not have a doctor located in the town.

I ran across some medical statistics a while back that listed several states with cities that did not have doctors in that city.

If my kid were burned and had an infection, damn well bet I'd be taking them somewhere to get medical attention no matter where in the hell it was -- even if it meant going into another country.

You don't play around with your child's health, period.
Its all common sense, but none of what you said matters to these wingnutz; that hate Palin and that's the bottom line.

Even if Palin's parents took her to a hospital in the USSR in the 1960s when she was 6 years old, it is ridiculous to hold it against her, as if she was endorsing socialism.

It would be just as silly to accuse 0bama of supporting capitalism, if his mother made him sit in a lemonade stand, selling lemonade, when he was 6 years old.

She, not Obama made the speech and Canada did not even have government health care at the time. Point being, she hasn't a clue what she is talking about

Look, right wingers, the whole point of Palin telling the story in the first place was to be able to wind it up with "Isnt it ironic?"

You can surely understand that, cant you?

Amazing....

No, it's in reference to a calculating 50 year old woman out to make hay with an audience.

They only thing worth pointing out is the nutbagz on the left who think this ridiculous thread somehow validates their legitimacy for their sheer and utter hatred of this woman.

Amazing...

... well, actually not too amazing, they are the same nutbagz who suffered years of Boooosh derangement.

People are people, i'm a Palin supporter,

It doesn't matter what she did when she was six years old. What matters is that she told an audience (whether US or Canadian) about it, which implied she supported it when her policies clearly do not. She should not do that and deserves criticizm for being inconsistent.

bottom line is, as a mother and a US citizen she shouldn't have brought it up. But no politician deserves this kind of scrutiny, or they'll turn into Congressman Massa...

IOW, you agree with the post you're replying to but dont dare say so, so you take the usual right winger way out and attack like a tear-stained middle schooler. Exit, stage right.

Plus, if she told it to a Canadian audience, it was tactless and boorish.

honestly its "tactless and boorish" to say it to any audience, but your act of smearing it all over this message board is also a little tactless and boorish wouldn't you say?
