America needs to save money. The best way to do this would be to immediately discontinue all unemployment pay, all welfare, and medicaid. How about deep cuts in public education. That would save a bundle. God Ble$$ America!

And he wants to keep adding trillions to it.

Good God, is his election the biggest mistake America has ever made?

And just look what we have to look forward to in the future.
People need to start getting ready because some very tough choices are going to have to be made.

We cant maintain this type of spending. I sure wish democrats thought spending was as bad now as they did when Bush was in office.

There was NEVER a surplus.

I will continue to correct you liberals day in and day out if I have to from spreading your lies.

The last time the government had a surplus was in 1969. A true surplus.

We all know that you aren't much into facts though.

Clinton did not have a surplus of $230B in the year 2000 because he had to borrow $246.5 From numerous other off budget funds. Clinton NEVER ran a surplus during his 8 years in office, he just borrowed yearly from different budgets, (primarily the SS budget) to offset the general fund losses. In 2000 the following funds were borrowed which resulted in a $16.5 deficit.

$152.3B from Social Security
$30.9B from Civil Service Retirement Fund
$18.5B from Federal Supplementary Medical insurance Trust Fund
$15.0B from Federal Hospital Insurance Trust Fund
$9.0B from the Federal Unemployment Trust Fund
$8.2B from Military Retirement Fund
$3.8B from Transportation Trust Funds
$1.8B from Employee Life Insurance & Retirement fund
$7.0B from others

Total borrowed from off budget funds $246.5B, meaning that his $230B surplus is actually a $16.5B deficit.
($246.5B borrowed - $230B claimed surplus = $16.5B actual deficit).

The last time the federal government ran a true suplus was 1969, the total surplus was $3.2B and before that was $1960, $.3 B

WikiAnswers - When was the last time the US had a budget surplus

This really is common knowledge. Dishonest people though don't want to admit it.

Well, how can that be if there was a surplus?

I wonder if ANY of these people ever go and actually LOOK at the figures?

Apparently not, since they keep repeating the same lies over and over again.

Please, by all means, do post the relevant data from the CBO. We're just dying for you to do that. Do you even know where to go to find the info - because obviously, you've never read it.

There you go. Proof for all. Not a lick of evidence, proof, corroboration or even ONE link that helps your false assertions.

Owned.
