Why Can't America Mind Its Own Business?
The United States Navy launched missile strikes against Somolia this week. Do you think that it is time for America to stop intervering in the political problems of other countries? Why does the United States always have its hands in undermining other governments or just causing trouble around the world? Funny, how China is a world power, but we do not see them in nearly as many controversies as the U.S. I sense that China, as a world power is much more highly respected throughout the world than the the United States and sets a much better example of how a superpower should conduct itself in international affairs. Seems like China knows how to mind its own business and America does not.

Condi Rice was in Spain recently complaining about that country's dealings with Cuba, I guess King George thinks we control Cuba now too.
I have a radical solution, let the fate of Cuba be decided by the Cuban people.

Snce WW II, we've become the world's police force. If the world stops asking for help, assistance, money, it would help out a lot. They can't have it both ways.

America is minding its business......
When business speaks, America listens.....
We will soon be bombing you into WAL*MART
Disney and McDonalds for your freedom and democracy.
But, you will appreciate the sacrifices made to ensure your
right to grossly over-the-top, selfish consumerism, unaffordable
education and healthcare, and quality of life determined by
developers and McMansioners.
America minding its business and yours....Women, please have
your state sponsored hearwrap on and be ready to show zee papers...

We need to stop offering help, assistance and money and start focusing on our own issues right here at home. Katrina ring a bell? Makes me sick...

Looking at the national debt we don't have the money to give away anyway.

I agree with this 1000%. The world wants us in there to help where they say and when they say but criticize when we do something for our own self interest and start this chant of us having to "mind our own business"....
Last I checked the United States allocates United States resources, NOT Europe or anyone else.
This is not meant as a commentary on Iraq specifically, so please save any comments about how Iraq was a mistake and a clusterf**k. I'm aware of that.

You'd think we've learned our lessons by now. In yesterday's paper I read where Joe Biden wanted us to commit our troops (multi-laterally of course - yeah right!) to Darfur. Let the UN, with the help of the Islamic nations, sort out that Islamic related mess. I don't want to see anymore signs like "Biden lied, kids died".
Aren't we still in the Balkans? If so, why?
I say we become business partners with whomever wants to do business with us and quit playing the role of the world's social worker. That's the UN's job.
