In the USA the conservatives say what's in it for me.
It wasn't the USA conservatives that excepted the payoffs in exchange for their HC vote!

When was the last time you read about individual states putting forward bills to object to Federal bills ?
The userpation of state's rights and powers began, I believe, when they changed the way Senators were chosen. It used to be the states selected them as their "representatives", while the House represented the people.

The federal government, originally intended to have a jurisdiction a mile wide but only an inch deep, wanted a mile wide and a mile deep, and has been running roughshod over the states ever since.

I say "bravo" to al states who will stand up to our national embarrasement masquarading as a national treasure, and his band of skanky cohorts, not-the-least of which is that joke of a spokesman Gibbs.

The patron saints of backroom deals
Cite your source, I mean other than where the moon don't, well you know where.

The Republicans did, however, invent abolition. A very famous Republican named Lincoln. He is still with us on our pennies.

It's the law. Even Republicans are acknowledging that it can't be repealed "come November" nor any time soon because Obama will still be the President.
And congress holds the purse strings AND the ability to appropriate funds, which they can fail to do when it comes to funding the new bloated bureaucracy. They just won't include any appropriations for those new IRS agents or the 150 new departments.
