I'm not afraid of teabaggers, but I can see why some are.
1. Lunatic fringe
2. Extremely *****ed off
3. Gun toting and angry as hell
4. Redneck
5. Racist
6. Calling for a coup against the government
7. Reactionary
8. Blind sheep who will do anything a pundit tells them
9. Crazy
10. Crazy
In summary, many people fear an angry crazy idiot who owns a gun.
Q:Why is the Left so afraid of the tea party movement?
A: They (the tea party) want a dictatorship
I don't think so.
I really believe they want to overthrow the Government, but then, what's next?
Do you really think they want a dictatorship?
I think they want something different, something more disparaging. They want to repeal all social programs, e.g. social security, medicare, unemployment insuance/compensation, public housing/assistance, and so forth.
Remember? They want to take back their country, for whatever that means, or for whatever that's worth.
Anything reared on a diet of misinformation, hysteria, prejudice, minimal use of real history, and actual facts plus paranoia plus fear is downright SCARY.
That's pretty much it in a nutshell.
The Tea Party members are a crackpot, low class, angry group of people who should shut up and go home.
But they still hold the same rights to freedom of speech that we both hold dear and important. To shut those people up would be taking away their rights of freedom to assemble and of speech.
What we can do, is change the station if we do not like what we are hearing, it's that simple.
I watch most all of MSM, and when they begin reporting on dissent and tea baggers, I find a movie to watch. I also exercise my right to vote for the best person for the job, or who I think will do what we want.
It's a shame we didn't live back in the times when social security was signed into law, because history states people talked and acted much like they do now, with the fear tactic and with malice intended for lawmakers. Not much has changed, but, people can change the message they are listening to in order to receive different points of view.
You haven't been on CD for a while. Several states have exempted guns manufactured and sold in-state from federal regulations.
The comment was meant in sarcasm.
