Someone said there will be no benefits, only taxes for six years, and I proved the claim wrong.
Why is there no taxes for such plans? I don't care. Either there is, or there isn't.

Point fingers? I heard a ton of lies and insults coming from tea party and Republicans party and they were exposed. Yes, EXPOSED, and they still lost the fight, so they're looking very bad at this point. I think the tea party is done, and will disappear. They still dangle some lies, and the loyalists repeat them, but how can you believe anything they say anymore? Did the Dems lie too? I disagree with your last statment. There are other ways to proceed. It really needs to start with questioning the entire "drugs and surgery" paradigm that is perpetuated by the health care industry.
For those who don't want to bother with reading an entire book, however short, (after all, who does thatany more?), the following article mentions:
93% of Type 2 diabetes is completely preventable
81% of heart disease is completely preventable
36% of cancer is completely preventable
Through just 4 things:
1. Not smoking
2. Exercising regularly
3. Eating a healthy diet (See book Food Rules for more on this)
4. Maintaining a healthy weight (If you do #2 & #3, this last one should come naturally).
There are several provisions in this bill that open up access to tons of people who did not previously have access to health care. Upping the age of college students on parents plans, providing tax credits to lower income families, to name a few.
NY - Empire BCBS raised the age to 29 in July 2009 and it is considered extended dependent coverage. Once the dependent marries, they forfeit the benefit. I believe HCR has the age maxed at 26?
The Tea Party and the Republicans made a fool out of themselves over this thing. They lied, and their lies were exposed, and then they lost the fight in the end.

The democrats passed this on a strictly party-line vote - unprecedented with such legislation.
They have done this against the will of the people, as ALL polls show.
At 7 AM they reported on the Healthcare reform bill passing, and gave a brief overview of what can be expected:
Expand insurance cover 32 million people who are currently uninsured.
lower prescription costs for seniors
no one with pre-exisiting conditions can be denied
anyone visiting the US will have access to health care
At 8 AM the last bullet was omitted.
I believe that people should have access to affordable health insurance, but feel this bill was not the right approach.
The fact that a news outlet couldn't get their facts straight about the bill makes me question both the credibility of said news outlet (anyone living in the NYC tri-state area is familiar with it) and how much bureaucratic double-speak (aka loopholes) are within the bill.
LOL, you should know as well as I do that News 12 is not exactly a shining example of fine reporting.
guess I can always hope that some states will secede. after all if the politicians do careabout the constitution, then why should they care if 1-25 states secede.
