Recruits are taught in boot camp that they are required to know what is legal and what is illegal. They spend many hours in classrooms learning the UCMJ and our founding principles and so they do know. For example, if a US soldier is ordered to shoot an unarmed civilian, that soldier will disobey that order. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about.
