Doesn't Healthcare reform resolve many issues of mobility in the job market and encourage fluidity in the labor pool?
How? Is there some provision that allows people to stay on their employer based plan even if they are no longer with their employer? Not that I'm aware of. I think you still have to get your own insurance. Of course when employers start dumping their plans you aren't tied to any employer plan....is that what you mean?
Some of the stuff that Nancy was talking about...artists and musicians following their dreams and not being tied to employers with insurance....that was just saying they can get subsidies and government insurance while they paint and fritter away the day instead of getting real jobs like the rest of us. It's true, not everyone could afford to make a career and pay for insurance out of their creative hobby and that's not the kind of America that I want to live in.
So go ahead, you can open a marshmallow sculpting studio or take up synchronized river tubing, I'm sure Nancy would approve of whatever creative outlet you choose....just jump on the subsidy plan and have fun....that's what we're all about.
32million people enter an expanded sector and only the government will benefit from job expansion?
Will all 32 million enter?
I went to a site with a premium/subsidy calculator.
Unfortunately it only allows for either single or family of 4 so doesn't allow for, for instance, that lower income married couple with no children.
The calculator also is using unknown or, at best, current average premium levels.
It does reveal, however, that there are going to be a lot of people who are now just getting by, that are still not going to be able to find the dollars for their unsubsidized portion....or the alternative fine.

....so those "32 million" NEVER accessed the healthcare system? Hey, I didn't realize that the uninsured didn't get sick. Maybe EVERYONE should drop their insurance.
Maybe you meant,..."now that healthcare is free, more people will use it". Now that makes more sense.
