He's not the only one playing that game, I've run into many conservative Obama haters who conveniently say Bush sucked, after-the-fact. I suppose that they think claiming that will lend their paranoid daydreams some credibility.

I find it laughable that people consider this flawed corporatist bill "socialism." There is no public option, just a horrible mandate to BUY insurance. Sure, the gov't will tax those who don't pay their corporate masters, but it's still not a socialist plan. It's a bonanza to big insurance companies and big pharma.

Why is it so terrible to force a few changes that protect millions of us, even those of us that do already have decent coverage??
And lastly, why is this the end of the world, but yet you were all for our country doing the unthinkable, most anti-american thing possible in invading a sovereign nation (unprovoked)for the first time in our history in 2003? Do you realize that war is racking up a bill far greater than any health care reforms will? Why is it perfectly OK to spend our tax money on blowing up and then rebuilding a 3rd world country but not to try to spend money helping people and fixing things here at home??

There have been plenty of posts here on CD about how the economy "would have" recovered on its own, and sooner, had FDR, etc not meddled with it. There is no proof of that, in in the meantime, people were starving. Of course, the "love my country" types don't care about starving people, just about making money, apparently.
When you got money coming in, food is on the table. simple math. I guess people like you think being broke is somehow a way of life to be enjoyed. it's not. Nobody wants to be poor. Obama is setting all of us up to be poor. no matter if you make $5K to $100K per year. get a clue.
