Defeat? Defeat for the country yeah, who opposed this bill by wide margins.
The real defeat will be in Nov. You think anything obama says on his obamacare tour trying to "convince" the public of the virtues of this bill will fly, after a year with 60+ speeches on the subject.
The backroom deals, the taxes, the cuts, the payoffs, the bribes for votes will be great fodder in Nov.
The evidence is crystal clear what kind of radical we have in the WH.

That crow is sort of tough to swallow, huh.
Funny how the rightwing nutjobs had no problem with GWB (with his strings being pulled by Cheney and Rumsfeld) sitting in the Oval Office day in, day out....year in, year out without accomplishing a darn thing except spending our nation into debt by waging an oil war to avenge his father and to fatten the pockets of "Haliburton" Cheney.
So please explain how its a bad thing that more Americans will now have access to medical care.

Obama campaigned on a platform of this health care reform. He was voted into office as president of the United States on this platform of health care reform. The American people backed him with their votes. And he has pulled through with it. I'm proud of him.
What did President Obama accomplish during his first year in office ...
1. Reversed a massive stock market crash into a 60% gain
2. Slowed skyrocketing unemployment down to 9.7%
3. Passed the biggest healthcare reform bill in our nation's history !!!
Now THAT is change I can believe in !!!
1. I don't really see anything he's done so far having much to do with the stock market bouncing back....it didn't rebound from any kind positive economic news or forecast......everything got worse. He said unemployment wouldn't go above 8% and it continued to rise until it reached just over 10%. There's a point at which investors begin looking to invest back in at the bottom.....bargain hunting. Things have leveled off more recently and you might be able to argue that it's continued to fuel the rebound but, he had little to do with reversing it. Just for the record, I'm not sure where you getting your numbers from but, since he was elected, it's gone up 25%.....and since he stepped into office it's gone up 35% (it continued to drop after both election day and inauguration day).
2. Unemployment was 6.8% in 11/08.....7.6% in 1/09.....and it was 9.7% for 2/10 (which is down from it's high of 10.2% in 10/09). I guess different people interpret that data in different ways but, I wouldn't credit him for slowing unemployment his first year.
3. Biggest in what way? There's Medicare, COBRA and HIPAA....all federal and all before this. The first two were and still are very successful. HIPAA has been a disaster....rate increases have accelerated ever since it went into effect. How successful this reform will be, only history can tell but, it's continuing along the same lines of where HIPAA left off.....not in the direction of correcting where HIPAA failed but, instead adding to it (just more of the same kind of mandates that have only made premiums skyrocket so far).
If you really want to cheer for your leader, then wait until there's something sound that you an cheer about....otherwise it only makes it look like you're desperate to credit him for something positive.....just my suggestion.
