They could have fixed what was broken, and expanded the Medicade program. All they did, instead, is weaken a country. Badly.

There are no "cheaper treatments" for cancer that you could afford. So if you would rather die than receive modern medical treatment, be my guest. But most of the rest of us live in a civilized society where we WANT to be able to have access to affordable health care when we need it.

The time has come. It has nothing to do with left or right, liberal or conservative, Christian or Atheist, or any other Hegelian Dialectic nonsense. It simply has to do with what is right, and what is wrong.
Is it right to steal from one, to give to another? Not just healthcare, but even our banking system, to other social programs designed to take from one group of people, to give to another. And it is stealing, no matter how you want to phrase it, design it, or define it.
Our constitution was a treaty among the States. Not the people. The people's treaty is made WITHIN the State itself and each constitution it has. But the people still had representation in the Federal House, which is what made our country so awesome. It was a protection FROM the Federal and State.

Only an ignorant person would think this 'majority' rule system that it seems we now have is something any decent judge would allow. Why do they? Because Congress IS allowed to legislate on behalf of it's juristictional constituants. I have read the laws they pass, and they are legal. So how do these apply to the people of the several States? Find out! It's there.
But our constitution doesn't even represent the State any longer, thanks to the 17th amendment. It is time for a revolution, and I pray it is peaceful. But, on the other hand, if force is needed to RESTORE our Republic, then heaven help us all.
Now before the ignorant reply to this, read your laws, and history prior to 1913, and the founding documents, including the letters leading up to the signing of these documents.
The people themselves resisted ANY federal power AT ALL. Like today, the rich pushed until their agendas were passed, for fear of loss of money made between the States. That is, until the 'civil war'. Even that was about the money, according to Lincoln himself who didn;t even care to free the slaves if he could keep the union together. That became the rallying cry to those who desired to free them. Guess what the next will be? Abortion perhaps? Wars? Taxation?
So, bring it back to the original, and let the mistakes that were allowed to remain back then, like slavery and tariffs, and right the wrongs that have divided us all since.
Otherwise, like ALL world empires of the past, this one too will fail, and collapse upon the weight of the debt imposed upon us by the 'well wishers' who desire all to be equal, and have equal access, when of course this is impossible. Someone has to bear the burdens of this debt, and when the rich are done being pillaged, along with the future generations, what then will be left? We will be wholly owned by foreign countries, which is what happened to all of them in the past. At some point, they will want paid, either by land, or by blood. Perhaps both. The time is coming to make a stand. And the time is coming to take BACK the land, itself.
