I didn't know that the health care reform is connected in any way to an ID card . The fact that someone at Huftington Post thinks so, its hardly a proof.
But, I think an ID card should be adopted regardless of health care. It has many benefits and frankly I don't see what's wrong with it.

National health care is something everyone has to participate in, you'll have an identification card.

This is the backdoor way to have a National Identification card.

This will be the next wave of controversy that comes through about this bill.

Tell me how it's different from a driver license or state-issued id card.

Well for starters it will contain your personal medical information encrypted with biometrics.

"Back door" - give me a break...

"Well for starters it will contain your personal medical information encrypted with biometrics"
Who says biometrics will necessarily be part of the card? And what biometrics mean - a fingerprint, DNA sample?

The best part of this thread is that it's not even in the bill. The blogger just thinks/fears that it's a backdoor for one.

Oh really?

Then how do you think you'll be able to receive the "healthcare benefits", you just walk up to a window and give them your SS# and picture id from the state?

With over 300,000,000 people under federally regulated healthcare, you think there won't be a NATIONAL ID CARD?

Think again.

99.9% of just was going off what someone told them.
