It's 34 states. 68% is a 2/3 majority.

No, its a federal issue when insurance companies are dropping subscribers after they come down with a condition all across the country.
No, it's a state issue. Insurance Regulators are state offices. The Federal Citizen Information Center points you to the states to contact an Insurance Regulator:

Yes, we are in our 30's, extremely healthy, work out daily with exceptional nutrition.
My husband was ordered to take tests, and the labs did not come back that he has this disease, however his symptoms are of this disease so the neurologists have diagnosed him as having it.

There is nothing else to it, pretty simple. We paid into the system, were covered while he was healthy, now in our 30's, he was dropped, and he cannot get health insurance, and the bills are piling up.

Why should he be dropped and not be able to obtain insurance because of a preexisting condition? There needs to be regulations stopping insurance companies from doing this to people like us who can pay, but are not allowed to.
You should be celebrating then, because the present bill means there is/will be.
Other than that ....and this is not directed at your husband, but at certain other posters.........it's a good thing you can afford it since your husband is just a wealthy, greedy doctor that complains about having to give up the 3rd BMW and 3 days of golf because of Medicare cuts.

Wait... your husband, the MD, is taking expensive medication with probable undesirable side effects for a disease HE DOES NOT HAVE?!?

The insurance company sees via the lab results that the neurologists' diagnosis is invalid for the insurance claims submitted. And you wonder why he was dropped? Really?

Even that would be reason to deny the claim....or future claims based on that diagnosis/lack thereof..........not to cancel coverage.

I'm not so sure about that. Obama and the Dems claim that the HCR bill includes measures to prevent fraud and abuse. Submitting medical claims to treat a disease one does NOT have (which Davachka admitted is true in her husband's case) constitutes fraud.

Depends on whether the policy had a fraud/abuse clause.

From what we have been told, this condition had not been diagnosed but is thought to be pre-natal.
It does not mean he was aware of it until just recently ,therefore there would have been no fraud
We are both only speculating but there have been way too many incidences of companies digging much deeper than reasonable to deny claims and/or drop insureds......which is why this is an issue to begin with

"Well if they "fix" it then it won't be a lie."------------------------------------It is thinking like this that baffles me. Instead of holding someone accountablr for not reading and understanding the thing BEFORE they speak, we get responses like this which is hilarious in it's own right. Even if they fix it, it doesn't change the fact that what was said AT THE TIME was a lie. Liberals are unbelievable.

The fraud is filing medical claims for a condition the lab results confirm he does not have.
