Obama will need an astronomical level of white guilt to be elected in 2012 (illegal, statistics)

Obama may say that, but that's not what his supporters say
his supporters see one racist act or undertone and then pin it on the entire opposition
I don't vote for a candidate because of his supporters and I hope no one else does either.

Not sure I would be willing to vote for him if he did this.
The following may be a little inflammatory, but please read it to the end before you react.
I have re-read the thread, and I can say I have seen Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson say a few things were because of race. But really think about this, these two folks actually lived and suffered during the Civil Rights movement. They really know what racism is, they saw its ugly face in ways that I thank God our kids don't have to see (sure wish they learned more about it though)
This reality they lived in and through, has given them an image that Obama does not have. Their is no "politically correct" way to say it, but Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have a public image of an "angry black man", and it has prevented them from garnering much support from white voters.
But in their defense, if I had lived through what they lived through, I would be an angry black man too. I mean, they got REAL reasons for the way they feel. When these guys started in politics, it was Government policy to exclude them in a large portion of the US.
So anyone that would expect someone who lived through that to remove racial concerns from their rhetoric, I could not in good faith support.
They were on the ground during the Civil Right movement, they saw the ugliest this nation had, from the top down. How, could anyone live through something so disgustingly ugly, and not be hyper aware of the racial component of ANY SITUATION?
So you know what, if Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton say something is racially motivated, I am A OK with it. And if Obama tells them to "dial down the racial rhetoric" I am NOT OK with that. He needs to remember, that people such as these, are the ones that paved the "political" road he drove on to the White House.
Correct. Temporary insanity on the part of independents had everything to do with it.
Those independents woke up Sunday evening. I do not think that the electorate will be kind to Barry this time around. This is just with his healthcare fiasco. If he grants citizenship to illegals in the interim, I would not be suprised if he is impeached, even with a Democratic senate and congressional majority. Cap and trade would just be the icing on the cake.
Did this guy miss ANY unpopular, fiscally irresponsible, and insane leftist agenda available?
Blacks could stand at polling places in 2010 & 2012 and intimate the hell out of white voters that they better vote for Obama or else there will be massive riots, looting, and flash mobs, and it wouldn't matter
furthermore, they could completely cut anybody short of those who profess their white guilt in the public square from having anything having to do with black culture and it still doesn't change that

Democrats lose in 2010
Obama loses in 2012
your rants are moving more to the stormfront side. Your equating a choosen few actions to that of an entire race.

Just lost all legitimacy as a poster and as a post!!!!
White guilt? I love it! That's the only way Obama could have won, huh? It had nothing to do with the fact that he was the smartest, most articulate candidate. Granted, the field of candidates weren't that great to begin with but I doubt white guilt had any significant impact. In fact, I would bet more people voted against him because he was black than those who voted for him.
“There will be one immediate drawback to Obama’s failed reelection attempt. I truly feel that some blacks will feel that racism is more prevalent in this country if Obama fails in his re-election bid than if Obama had never been elected at all. They’ll feel that a black man was allowed in only for one term when – more often than not – incumbents are reelected. Hopefully this effect will be isolated and short-term.”
In a National Review piece after Obama’s election, Mark Goldblatt wrote that President Obama’s election marked the end of white guilt. Other pundits followed suit. But it seems that Goldblatt, like ‘the American People’, made the faulty assumption that Obama would be re-elected. Either 8-year Presidential terms had become the norm or we took the lopsided Democratic victories in 2008 to mean that the Republican party was dead. What we didn’t foresee was the possibility that voters would truncate Obama’s full upload of hope and change. In liberals’ eyes, Obama’s turn – black people’s turn really – isn’t complete until he (or the Constitution) says it is. Any abbreviation will stoke the flames of race warriors like Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright, or Maureen Dowd.
Noo, they will illegalize the illegal aliens and guarantee themself another 10M votes...
You sure got that right...they seem to be gearing up for wholesale amnesty now. They are aware of the massive discontent and real anger of the people and they realize most of them (desperate dems), will be out come November.
A hastily rammed through amnesty would give them the badly needed 10-20 million newly minted, grateful dem voters.
Who and what race are Obama and his supporters racist against? Do tell.
