I try to think the reasons that Jews in USA vote Dems by 80%,
even as the Dems,with their pacifism,put Israel in danger ( by being against Iraq type interventions )
&
with their socialism disproportionately hurt,damage & weaken the Jews,who are the richest ethnic group in USA...
Theoretically,the Jews should vote like the anticommunist rich Cubans,exiled from communist Cuba,75% GOP...
After all,the Jews are victims of the (national ) socialists Mussolini & Hitler & of the communist Stalin..
And they benefit only by capitalism...
Leftwing,they lose,rightwing they win. The more to the right,the better...

The Nazi's (National) Socialist as you refer to them, jailed Jews, Gypsy's, Homosexuals, Communists, SOCIALISTS, and Jehovahs Witnesses. They were Right Wing, but not as far right as the Industrialists Krupp-Thyssen-Farben, represented by Prescott Bush, who supplied them the votes neccessary to make Hitler Chancellor

Whether the candidate is a Democrat or a Republican, he won't reach a high position without being pro-Israel. Jews are a rather socially liberal group of people, their support for Israel is shared by Republicans and most Democrats.
Thankfully, as more Americans learn about the conflict, we're heading towards a more anti-Israel society.

Wow, thank you so much for posting that link. I've often wondered why Jews identify with the left ideologically since it really doesn't make much sense (to me). I found this passage particularly interesting:

It's really fairly rooted in european history and the nazi national socialist movement, which most identify (incorrectly) as pertaining to right-wing ideology. Very interesting stuff. I wonder if there is any decline in liberalism among the jewish in america? Are they become less liberal over the years?
It's the same reason Blacks vote for Democrats. It's cultural. Southerners and conservatives are Republicans. They have endorsed anti-semitic sentiment and practices. That's no secret. Evangelicals in particular have accused the Jews of killing Jesus. Even though the current Republican and conservative philosophy suits most Jewish people, they have not forgotten the wide spread discrimination they suffered at the hands of these neocons
