That artilce was the written equivalent of someone asking "What do you want first, the good news or the bad news?". Some indicators are up, some are down.
Can anyone really say (not just speculate) where things will go from here? Not hardly.

But the latest unemployment numbers for Florida were up so not much good news
26,500 new government people will be hired due to the new health care bill (more IRS watching through our windows...)....nice, but thousands will be layed off due to the same bill
I have nothing to hide for the IRS so i don't have to worry and btw I pay for my own health care....but maybe we can get rid of it now and sign up in case we get a health issue..so Obama might save us some money
I spent some extra because of a tax return check, as I'm sure others did.
You can bet that this is most of the reason (if not all) for the modest increase in consumer spending.
Anyway, next month they'll revise the numbers based on some heretofore unknown anomaly.
No need to break out the champagne over this puff piece.
Yeah, I could see all those businesses turning away customers because spending money does not create wealth.

And health insurance companies set prices so high that they turned away 30 million customers so they could get rich?
