In an interview Tuesday morning with a local Nevada radio station, Reid said only 7,000 protesters filed into his dusty mining town of Searchlight on Saturday — when some had initially projected 20,000 to 30,000 would attend the rally to hear former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin speak. And he said that “90 percent” of the activists came from outside Nevada — and that it was “good for people to learn about Searchlight.”

Hey-
He shrugged off the state of Nevada during his time in the Senate. What is a few tea partiers in comparison to all his constituents?

Give 'em Hell Harry. 7000 lousy all white teabaggers....99% of them over the age of 65, living off SS and Medicare. What hypocrites.
Well as you put it, his unhappy constituents had an opportunity to show up with the teabaggers, a show of force if you will and they chose not to... So how unhappy are his constituents? My guess is not overly unhappy...

Diry Harry better get his interviews in while he can, he only has a few more months to screw the country.. Then he can spend all of his time in Searchlight...
Wow 7000! That little town only has like 800 residents. They should organize Tea Party rallies to go there as much as possible to boost their economy which is not too good in comparison to the rest of the state.
Oh, btw, it was about 9k, not 7k people attending. Regardless, when that many people drive to the middle of the desert to protest something that the government's doing, it's a big deal. It's more significant when so many are coming from out of state, not less. Reid had to publicly shrug it off - it would have hurt him even more if he had shown concern.
Doesn't matter what Reid said, though. He's out come November. He's even playing tricks by introducing a "tea party" candidate into the mix to try and fracture the conservative vote. He knows that Lowden's going to win in the primary, so he puts up an Armenian as the "tea party" candidate to draw the votes that would have been Tarkanian's. Clever, but it won't work. He's fired.
