Personal? No, simply the fact that the "Daily Show" is often used as evidence of "insightful", "intelligent", and "informative" as a source for some and when I see garbage like this, which is simply an addition of support to claim that republicans, conservatives, and people who object to current policy are nothing more than racist hicks too stupid to tie their own shoe, well... lets just say that I don't find it amusing, personally.

Because while you may be just laughing at the silliness of the incident, there are numerous idiots who think the daily show is a legitimate news source and will be nodding to themselves about how this pretty much sums up those stupid conservatives.

It may be innocent in your use, but it is fodder for the sheep and will be used no doubt as proof to support claims of racism by anyone who "objects" to current issues.

The Daily Show is often more accurate then some other supposedly "Cable News" channels who try to "make & be" the news.

I don't rely on those for my news and at the end of the day, The Daily Show is a self proclaimed comedy show. Its like going to the circus to hear Bozo rant about various politics and then claiming that he is pretty accurate. It doesn't change the fact that you would be informing yourself by word of a clown. /shrug

There's no left wing talk radio any more so people call in and can voice their opinions on C Span. I sort of like the show, you do get a free exchange of callers and opinions. But you get so many extremist kooks from both sides making partisan statements and spinning rhetoric and chanting party mantra that it gets tiresome. I'd like them to get a good non partisan centrist host who'd shred these left and right wing callers arguments and challenge some of the ridiculous statements they'd make. But for every two whackos you do get one informed and intelligent caller.

I have read that here and there. There are apparently people who watch The Daily Show and think its a serious news program. Is that really true? Does that mean Meet The Press is a comedy show?

Do they also watch Star Wars and think that is really happening right now or in a galaxy far, far away?

If alot of the callers are African-American, then it means more and more African-Americans are interested in what is going on in the government. If that particular caller had a problem with that, too bad.
