No, just a referendum on his success in cleaning up eight years of mess in two years.

And BTW, what usually gets overlooked in these approval ratings on Obama, is that there alot of folks (myself included), who are dissatisfied that he isn't being "liberal enough". But that definitely doesn't translate into more votes for the GOP!

President Obama's overall job approval rating has fallen to an all-time low of 44 percent, down five points from late March, just before the health bill's passage in the House of Representatives. It's down 24 points since his all-time high last April. Forty-one percent of those polled said they disapproved of the president's performance.

That's the Gallup poll, this is CBS, which has him at an all-time low, which is actually quite stunning, since they have the party Id skewed toward the democrats.

Yeah that CBS poll was conducted between Mar 29 and Apr 1 ....we'll see.

BTW even your fav poll, Rasmussen had him at 48% approval yesterday.

The smell of desperation in the air.

Go ahead, do the happy dance for a 50% approval, well actually, it's more like 48% when you consider a conglomerate of polls.

And who is going to clean up HIS mess next term? We certainly can't trust him to do it. His CYA MO ensures that he can't be held responsible, and can always point to someone else. Not unlike voting "present" when one doesn't want to go on record either for or against.
