I know I'd order about 40 to 60% fewer tests if it weren't for practicing 'lawyer medicine.' Multiply that by 5000 patients a year...

It's actually good for Obama-haters to point these things out. There's still several months to go before the November elections, so news like this helps Democrats hone their message.

That could be a problem when over half the nation is an obama-hater.

More Americans approve of Obama than disapprove, dear. Your own CBS poll says so. 44% approve, 41% disapprove:

Interesting how Obama-haters rail against the mainstream media on a daily basis - until they find a poll that agrees with their positions (and even then, they apparently can't read the results accurately).

He is at the unprecedented number at 44% - the lowest...yet. Looks like there are 15% that aren't quite sure yet.

The point is that he has lost ground, after passage of the bill and after his snake oil salesman jaunts around the country. People don't believe him, they are tired of listening to the same old lies and crap. In other words, they have come to realize they were duped.

If we simply open the ability to purchase health insurance over State lines without regulation, we will have the same issues we have with credit card companies, the companies flock to the least regulated States in order to take advantage of higher rates and fees.
One reason many are not in favor of the health care law is that it did not include a public option.
Majority of U.S. Voters Object to Health-Care Plan, Poll Finds - Bloomberg.com
Quote:
One possible reason for the lack of support for health-care legislation may be what is missing in the measure: a government- run plan to compete against private insurers and the ability for Americans ages 55-64 to buy into the Medicare plan used by the elderly.

The Quinnipiac survey found 56 percent of voters supporting the so-called public option and 64 percent backing the Medicare expansion. Both proposals were dropped from the legislation now making its way through the Senate.

The survey also found voters trusting Obama over Republicans on economic issues, 45 percent to 36 percent.

To be a true leader you have to make tough choices sometimes. Given the level of zero willingness by the minority party to attempt anything other than obstructionism and antics, this bill may be the best that could be crafted at this time. Most economic reviews I have seen give this bill a much more positive review then Bush's Medicare Act of 2003 for example, which basically screws our future generations to the tune of $1 trillion dollars. The bill is also supported by some consumer advocacy and small business groups, although not others. I think it will take some time before judgement can be made. I love the fact that insurance companies will have to start accepting people even with preexisting conditions, and the governments will satrt taking steps to regulate spending with this out of control industry. Maybe care will start becoming more important than stock options?

You rip on the "mainstream media" and say they are not credible until you find some information that you approve of. Please try sticking to your guns. Just sayin...

BTW Happy Easter.

Of that 53% of the 858 randomly polled people I wonder how many disapproved because the bill didn't include a public option. A lot of people were upset that the bill didn't go far enough.

Hope it was worth it for the Dems to seal their party's fate in such a way.

How many pundits were saying that HCR was dead when Scott Brown was elected? The folks on Faux News were having wet dreams over his election. Now the Boston Hearld is saying he is a RINO.
