The politicians and diplomats are the ones who determine what arms and ammunition you'll be allowed to use, regardless of however you behave. We're not talking about training here but on the ammunition soldiers are permitted to carry. They're trained to shoot to kill but aren't forced to in all situations. Less lethal ammunition gives them that choice.

Oh noz, we spend more money on our killing machines than the rest of the world spends on their killing machines combined, who cares, the military industrial complex is a big reason this country is dying.

Only a miniscule percentage of ammunition reaches its intended target so it makes sense to be concerned about what happens to the rest of it (striking innocents, damaging property or the environment). I thought we followed NATO standards anyway.

Shows a need for training improvement.

The impact of 5.56 rounds is miniscule compared to the impact of all other of munitons used in battle don't you think? Are the enemy going green too?

Enough with this. Give them good ammo that shoots straight and kills whoever you need it to. Ridiculous
Gotta be Obama's fault

That's long running debate as to what has more overall effectiveness. They both have pros and cons. Having said that it's criminal if the troops are not given the most effective round possible and borders on insanity if the "greeness" of the bullet is the deciding factor.

The "Army’s M855A1" is the green round in question that the Army will use, the Marine Corps instead opted for a different more deadlier bullet that isn't green. If that still hasn't cleared it up for you the Army and Marine Corps are not the same thing.

No, but this may have saved a few dozen lives. opposition guy who gets shot but lives, then attacks again and kills one or several of our guys or civilians.

I put soldiers lives about some stupid environmental BS. this is war. Going green is a good thing, but not for the army if its not as good equipment
