It could be that she didn't look at it that way, but as a really good babysitting gig. Either way though....

citigirl I am glad to see that you agree some crimes are worse than others - now you see the reasoning for hate crimes legislation.

All I want to know is, where were these hot female teachers that love sleeping with 13-year-olds when I was in 8th grade?!?

I completely agree with the above statements. As much as media sometimes spends way too much time covering a particular topic area - this is one that is underrepresented in media. Indeed, this is a serious and all too frequent issue in schools today - many times it is swept under the rug and/or handled privately in court to protect the innocent. In all situations, these molesters should be locked up for good or just executed. I have no tolerance for those who would take advantage of a child.

How about teachers rather than showing movies start teaching rather than giving the kids an escape?
I only see something wrong. Is if the teachers are having sex with any body younger than 15. But that isn't really the case. It seems like most pedos go for younger and that is why we should automatically have an intensive background check of a person.

Oh, shoot......guess I am not paying much attention to the news. I just got a job to work in Union County schools for next year. Now I will need to see just what is going on.
We had problems in CA too. Some were legit and others weren't. So, I think due process is essential before sentencing for sure.

I am horrified by this. Is this something that is that wide spread in all school districts? Any feedback is appreciated.
I am seeking to remedy parts of this by asking for more rigid reporting requirements, and hope to have the law tightened down to avoid sexual offenders from seeking employment in other counties or states.

Dawn,
I am happy to send you all of the news links on this topic. Most distressing would be the lack of response on the part of the district office, and the fact that they tried to lie about notifying the police right away as the law mandates. Coverups are more important than protecting kids.....

I think this is something that's happening at a lot of schools across the country. Partly from pedophiles making their way into the classroom and partly from girls dressing like strippers to go to math class. While it may be wrong and immoral for the math teacher to be interested, his hormones start raging when he sees that 16 year old flaunting around the room in skimpy clothing. Yes, I know, the are not allowed you cry... let me tell you that if you think that girls don't dress sleazy for school then I suggest you sit outside a high school one afternoon after the bell rings for them to leave. Just observe for one day what the kids are wearing. It will amaze you.
