Where do they find these simple minds? The word "athlete" is taken to imply some sort of racial identification? She truly embarrassed herself with that comment.

No Txgolfer, I'm sorry that the reality of it escapes you. Jimmy the Greek was fired and demonized by the left for saying THE EXACT SAME THING. Imus was villified and fired for saying something MUCH, MUCH less than this. So....in all fairness, just like Imus and JTG where bigots and racists, so is O'Donnell. Should we expect the lefty news outlets to mention this? Should we expect a suspension or firing coming her way?

Yeah, she was quite obviously reaching on that one. O'Donnell is an idiot. However, your conclusion that "lefties are pure racists," is just as, if not more dense than her comment.

Reminder: you believed that the Communist Party was suing the Democratic Party for intellectual property theft.

The black is a better athlete to begin with because he's been bred to be that way — because of his high thighs and big thighs that goes up into his back, and they can jump higher and run faster because of their bigger thighs. This goes back all the way to the Civil War when during the slave trading, the owner — the slave owner would breed his big black to his big woman so that he could have a big black kid.

: I mean this was largely a good speech. Gingrich’s speech about not being the party of no, let’s be yes on this, yes on this. But I’m not sure what he means by this particular soundbite and I think it’s open to some criticism because it suggests that the President is an athlete and some people may suggest, you know, because all black people are good athletes. I mean that’s what it sort of sounds like to me.
Do you recognize that O'Donnell is saying that the assumption that all black people are good athletes is an untrue stereotype, while Jimmy the Greek is actually asserting the opposite?

O'Donnell was not saying it is an untrue stereotype, she made the stereotype herself. So for you literal lillies out there, Jimmy the Greek was implying the same thing...Blacks are better atheletes. I'm sorry most of you who want to argue this do not deal with truth, you deal with spin and selfish interpretations.

It's obvious to me that her comments aren't comparable to Jimmy The Greek's. She wasn't making the comments based on her own opinions; she was analyzing the comments of Gingrich, and reading into them. Her theory may be flawed, but it's silly to suggest that she's a racist.
