Eminent? I guess illiterate writers need to work, too.

Arrow Iran's Nuclear Ambitions

^Well then lets just take it up and away from reading journalist writers and go for the reports.

FAS posts within the guidelines of the FOIA:

This one is dated 05/13/2009
Iran’s Nuclear Ambitions: A Baseline Assessment | Secrecy News

“There is no sign that Iran’s leaders have ordered up a bomb,” the report notes. “But unclassified interviews… make clear that Iran has moved closer to completing the three components for a nuclear weapon–fissile material, warhead design and delivery system,” the report stated.

Resolving suspicions about the potential military aspects of Iran’s nuclear program “will be one of the most difficult [issues] confronting negotiators for the two countries and the international community,” wrote Committee chairman Sen. John Kerry in his transmittal letter.
another report: OSC Views Nuclear Commerce in Kazakhstan
OSC Views Nuclear Commerce in Kazakhstan | Secrecy News

Kazakhstan has embarked on cooperative civilian nuclear projects with countries including the U.S., Russia, China, Brazil, Canada, France, India, and others, possibly including Iran.
another report: Iran's "Hoot"
dated 12-3-2008
Iran’s “Hoot” Torpedo Documented | Secrecy News

“Let me briefly say that the intelligence that the Americans have about us is very different from the intelligence that they do not have about us,” he went on. “What I mean is that they have only little information, and there is a lot of intelligence that they are not aware of.
I placed in bold the last sentence there because that is where it all is. That that goes on that no one knows about.

What I got out of the news reports was that Obama was asking the countries to not enter into agreements with 2 countries for obvious reasons. We don't trust them to be nice.

Looks like some trust they will be nice. So, go live there & report back on their attitudes.

(ps: to learn more you will need to go see what the FAS has in unclassified documentation posted, I can't provide all info in one post, sorry...)

Why was the pressed banned following their coverage of the One's speech? And, how, if they were not present, did they all repeat the same WH talkingpoints of this dog & pony show being a "monumental success"?

How did this summit stop Iran's development of nukes?

What two highest regulated industries are you talking about? As for what China did, ask them why they did it, if you find that so interesting.
When was the press "banned" and from what?
Use your common sense in re Iran.

By the way, are you saying that you don't think "loose nukes" is a problem for the U.S. and the WORLD?

Below is an excerpt from a link given by Ocvatto in a post above.

THE DATE: October 2007.

"In a speech at DePaul University in Chicago, Mr. Obama will add his voice to a plan endorsed earlier this year by a bipartisan group of former government officials from the cold war era who say the United States must begin building a global consensus to reverse a reliance on nuclear weapons that have become “increasingly hazardous and decreasingly effective.”
