Liberals want to ban the term "obese"
The commonality is that they ban specific terms, and then replace them with more generalized terms. Mentally challenged could include psychiatric disorders as well, which do not fall under the category of mental retardation.
If you replace obesity with "overweight" or whatever, you lose the specificity of what obese is, which has a precise definition.

Many people see Blacks and Mexicans, and other minorities as Democrats, along with any other Americans...
They have to act like they're guarded the minorities (ie. Retards/ mentally ill) from the others, or show that "they care"
They are pro-choice, so they have to try and look like "The People's Party" because they "represent" most of the people in cities, which usually throw the electoral votes to them..
By choosing words, they force us to say what they want us to, so it would be a Freedom of Speech infringement.
Like the "N" word for African American, sure High schoolers and AA's call eachother that, video games, etc. but you don't say it in public.
Thats not a GREAT example since its a "swear" word, but it'd almost make calling someone a retard, or obese, like calling a black guy a ------
They hate free speech and use political correctness to banning certain words so that they can control our culture and how people think and what they say.
Kind of frightening, really, their obsession to control how people should think or talk. Very un-American. Very 1984-ish.
Probably started when people began caring about the feelings of others. So we don't call a person a "mor'*n" anymore. Then the posers took over because they were ashamed of what mainstream USA felt about their careers, so they called themselves "domestic engineer".
Seems though that renaming also enables one to remain in their position without standing out on paper. Whether that is good or bad depends on the political party. So while saying "big and bold is beautiful" may be feel good labels, others might say "obesity" is wrong.
"They" would definitely include you. I would wager on that, but if asked to prove, you're likely to go crying to mommy.
Very 1984-ish indeed.
PS. Free Speech can get quite far, BTW, and most would be hated by the social authoritarians who masquerade as social conservatives.
