Pretty funny anti-union folks seem to fall into four categories: Ultra-rich who long for days of serfdom, brain washed fearful employees who have never had union protection, and jealous envious people who resent the fact that the unions have allowed so many to have excellent benefit packages, they suffer from the crabs in a barrel mentality, and the "educated" who believe that their standard of living is based only own their educations and not the fact that their compensation directly resulted from companies needing to compete with union businesses in order to recruit/retain their workforce.
We are totally anti union and don't fit any of those 4 profiles. This goes for many of our friends who happen to be union workers because they have no choice. I take that back, most are retired now, but they felt that was at the time. I happen to know of a couple of companies or parts of companies that are non union and still offer great benefit packages...

exactly. I don't know how the cause / effect can be missed on this one, but you'd think people would at least wonder if depencence on governments is such a good thing... based on the disaster it caused in Detroit.

Cause and effect...lol...then why is not the welfare states of Europe in the same condition as the city of Detroit?
