In doing some video research on an unrelated topic, I came across this video about Senator Obama and narcissism. He was not elected President when the video was made but he was running. I know there was talk about narcissism with Obama before but I never paid attention because frankly, I think everyone who wants to be President probably has some of that in their personality. You know, who in their right mind would want to be President except for someone who craves attention? There are certainly better paying jobs and there are better jobs where you can do more for mankind.

But the video speaker (and I did some research on him, too) thinks ALL candidates who aspire to be President should have to have psychological evaluations, first. Do you agree?

YouTube - Does Obama Have Narcissistic Personality Disorder?

Please don't make this about Obama. He's already President. I really want to know what you think about psychological tests for presidential candidates, generally speaking.

Considering the number of jobs I would be excluded from if I ever had a psychological exam, I do not think this is a good idea even for President. In many ways the campaigns serve as a giant public psychological exam. Unfortunately the public actually elects someone unsuited for the job. Coolidge? Really?

I figure a huge ego is required to even think you can get elected or even do the job. They are not exactly the same.

Nope, that would open up a huge can of worms..
Let's face it, anyone who would want to be President has a huge ego, plus a screw loose somewhere.

Yep. May be C-D should implement a psychological test for people who want to start a thread.

The Constitution doesn't disqualify anyone based on personality. That's up to the voters to decide their criteria.

not about any President in particular,

I think they might all need an egomaniac test.

Oh G.W. Bush would have certainly failed his psycho test and maybe it could have prevented his failed policies, for starters how about Iraq?
