Anyone who thinks Obama is a communist or socialist should seriously get their head examined. You're pathetic.
People have the right to an opinion...not having a right is communist.....also it looks like you feel the need to attack people with other view points instead of talking about what you believe in.

I wouldn't call Obama a full fledged communist, but I would say his priorities are effed up...he was pushing so damn hard to get the health care law in place, but when it comes to all the teachers in the public school system who are soon to lose their jobs he doesn't care to push hard for them and the kids
Very well then. For starters, classic Marxist communism features is the complete abolition of private enterprise and capital ownership. Upon the abolition of the capitalist, it envisions a classless society where the government owns, plans, and performs all aspects of production on behalf of the proletariat, i.e working class.
Now, why don't you please show me where Obama, Obama's administration, or anyone in US government today is actually proposing to abolish all private property ownership and close all private businesses and corporations?
Even though Obama favors more state intervention into various aspects of society and definitely leans more to the left than his Republican counterparts, he is philosophically still light years away from communism. His policies are still within the context of a fundamentally capitalistic society that will be economically fueld by private enterprises, and he isn't trying to change that; he himself gets a lot of his campaign money from Wall Street, particularly Goldman Sachs. This country is and will remain fundamentally capitalistic.
You can disagree with the guy, but it is obvious to anyone of honest intellect and half-decent education that he is really not a communist or Marxist. Parrotting right-wing talk show hosts who loosely throw around these terms as pejoratives is not a recipe for intelligent insight.

What on earth does that have to do with communism? His priorities are wrong; okay, but that's irrelevant to communism.
By the way, trying to use his middle name of Hussein in a pejorative attempt to paint him as somehow lesser of a person doesn't make you appear very intelligent, either.
I don't think the poster in question is too concerned about outward appearance.

Not having rights would be totalitarianism, not communism.
