You're not concerned about divisions in our country. You are looking for a message board fight. I think they call it "trolling"

Obama is playing whatever game it takes.

Just this morning I heard him on the radio talking about the AZ anti-immigration bill.
He said that a hispanic family going out for ice cream will now be stopped and asked for "their papers".

Now if the President is saying spin like this..what do you expect of those Americans that don't ever read for their news or research or try to get to the truth. Many just believe what they are told.

This is about the AZ bill that doesn't go into effect until July and has nothing to do with merely stopping people for no legal reason.
This is very similar to how he sold health care..talking about the Republican death panels and how everyone's Grandma would be left to die.

President Obama Says Arizona's "Poorly-Conceived" Immigration Law Could Mean Hispanic-Americans Are Harassed - Political Punch

"The president said, “you can try to make it really tough on people who look like they, quote, unquote look like illegal immigrants. One of the things that the law says is that local officials are allow to ask somebody who they have a suspicion might be an illegal immigrant for their papers -- but you can imagine if you are a Hispanic American in Arizona, your great, great grandparents may have been there before Arizona was even a state. But now suddenly if you don’t have your papers and you took your kid out to get ice cream, you’re going to be harassed, that’s something that could potentially happen.â€

Ah I see. Does the new law give law enforcement the authority to stop and question a person based on their race?

FOXNews.com - Obama Jumps Into 2010 Race With Appeal to Latinos, African-Americans, Women and Youth

And please...Let's not hear the usual stupid "Who believes Faux News".

If you cannot understand what is wrong with what he said - I remind you that the mantra these days is "Diversity" - You know, including everyone...

Is this guy starting a race war? Is this how he thinks he will keep power?

This is the mentality of a Chicago street thug.
You're sick & in need of a Limbaugh/Fox News enima real bad to flush out all the bs that's been fed to you. It is elementary to see he is appealing to voters who traditionally aren't consistent in voting. He didn't use any inflamatory language to insite a racial divide, but no matter what he say's you rightwing nuts exaggerate his motives.

No, it does not ozzie679.

Here's a link to another thread with the wording of the bill and a link to it.

I am black and I think Prez Obama was wrong for this. He should be president for all people and not just minorities, youth and women. White men voted for him as well. Now I have said in the past that republicans need to be more open to youth and minorities but I think the democrats just use minorities for their votes. Ignorant and politically unastute blacks only vote democrat and they take the black vote for granted and are only focused on hispanics right now. We loose political clout for this mess. But as far as Prez Obama....this was another mistake for him.

I must proffer one slight correction, if I may. The corrected sentence is"

This is the mentality of Chicago street thug(s).
