Is it because they have no other plan? No true leader?
I don't know what your sources for information are, but they are obviously poor sources, because you seem to be a bit in the dark.

Obama was elected for a few simple reasons, not the least of which (sorry to say) he was black. Many Americans thought that it was the thing to do to show that they weren't "racist" to vote for who might become the nations first black President.

Secondly, he promised "Hope and Change". No one knew what he meant by that, but that always rings well with voters, especially when they are dissatisfied with the party in power (for whatever reason), and Americans wrongly blamed Bush for the Mortgage/Banking scandal, which was many years in the making, and primarily due to liberal policies that forced banks to make loans to unqualified buyers. Bill Clinton had much to do with this, with his expansion of the CRA (Jimmy Carter).

Of course there was the war. Democrats had done a good job souring the American people on the war effort, calling it a failure, illegal, accusing our troops of murder, wantonly killing civilians, torture, and other false accusations.

John McCain was seen as a poor alternative, a flip-flopper. Simply, he wasn't trusted.

Obama was a complete unknown. His history was well hidden. As some began to dig into his past, and the truth of his extreme leftist views began to emerge, ("Under my policy of a cap and trade system, electric rates would necessarily sky rocket") the "Kool-Aide drinkers" refused to believe that their "Messiah" Obama was who we said he was. No one heeded the warnings.

But, now it is 2010, and Americans are smarter. The country is in shambles, mostly because of Obama's policies. What could have been fixed with some economic policies that have always proven to "jump-start" an economy out of recession, has been made hundreds of times worse by policies that have been proven failures time and time again in the history of our country.

The truth about Obama has been well documented. We have a clear picture this time around of who he is, and demonstrated by what he has done, and by the people he has surrounded himself with; extreme leftists who are admirers of Marx, Mao, and others, like them, sixties radicals with their belief in some Utopian society (history repeats itself), and a belief that government is the solution to all societal ills.

They are anti-capitalists, and believe socialism a better system than the system that has made us the freest, richest nation in the world with the highest standard of living.

We now know that what he meant by "fundamentally transform[ing]" the United States of America, was to transform it into a European style socialist country.

Finally, we have a Congress that will not listen to the will of the American people. They do not read legislation ("We must pass this legislation, then we can find out what's in it" — Nancy Pelosi). They are corrupt to the core, using bribery to buy votes for their socialist legislation, etc., etc., and we all know the rest.

Americans have had it, simply put. It has given rise to the Tea Party Movement, which has proven to be a powerful force for Democrats to reckon with. They are attempting to discredit them, ridicule them, accuse them of violence (there has been none) and even have blamed them for the violent acts of individuals such as the Texas man who flew a light plane into a building.

But the Tea Party supporters and activists are your next door neighbors. They are ordinary citizens fed up with the out of control Federal government, who are exercising their Constitutional rights, and have vowed to "take the country back" and restore our Repulic to it's Constitutional roots.

No, this time around, things will be different. We do "get it".

The ironic part is the Tea Bag Party refuses to see that the Republican tax cuts for the wealthy are the reason they are over taxed. It is not big liberal government that is creating their financial problem it is big military government subsidizing the "Have Mores" that own the War Machine that is costing them money.

They are a creation of the right wing propaganda machine and base their protests on a carefully fabricated delusion. At best they are fools and at worst they are co conspirators trying to destroy America for their own profit.

Always worked for the Democrats; did it not?

Why would we "work with" a party that is largly socialist, that has bankrupt the country, burrying us in red ink for decades to come, and planning to tax us right into the grave?

Don't give me "Bush spending", because we didn't like that either; but, the fact of the matter is that Bush's spending wasn't even close to what Obama and the Democrats are doing. If we continue to let these people get away with this, we will not have a country. We are on the brink, and it is Obama and the leftists in Congress who have taken us here.

Fighting financial reform and this Socialist Arizona immigration law they created are undermining what could have been a sweep into power. Add on top of that the fact that Obama's policies, while hard to swallow because they have been crisis management, are actually working.
Oh, so now enforcing our laws is socialist? You'll have to explain that one! LOL

I don't think anyone has said they would oppose Obama on "health care" just to see him fail. That isn't why we oppose it. We oppose it, because it is not good for the American people, much of it has little to do with "healt care (or health insurance), but is simply a massive socialist power grab to give the Federal Government control over virtualy every aspect of your life.

But, hey; believe whatever you want.

LOL! You haven't seen many administrations or studied history , have you?

ALL political candidates throughout our history have promised the moon and stars and a chicken in every pot...it's politics.....and, NO, they don't deliver everything they promised, NONE have....and adults know that.

Huh?? The wealthy are practically the only people left paying taxes! One report recently stated that approximately 50% of Americans pay no income tax, and I hate to clue you, but that group is not the wealthy.

I am not wealthy and I paid thousands of dollars in income tax last year. I believe some of the upper crust getting millions in bonuses could afford to pay millions (90%) in taxes and still have their mansions, boats and mistresses. Did you look at the crowd of thieves at the finance hearings? They are obviously paupers begging for a handout.

We have a President that is destroying the country. It has nothing to do with the color of his skin. He is a Marxis/Socialist (This is how he was raised, this is not a "wild accusation"; it is who he is) who does not believe in capitalism, and the free market system. He is a "wealth redistributionist", that's Marxism, in case you didn't know.

People like Hannity and others have simply been trying to wake people like you up, who seem to be asleep, as your country is being taken down the road to destruction by this band of thugs.

Republicans are not, nor should they be "centrist". We should be Constitutionalists. It is our Constitution that will keep us free. Obama, and many on the left (most, sad to say) believe that the Constitution is outdated, and no longer valid. That is a dangerous view to hold.

Really? On what basis do you come to that conclusion? Care to explain, or did you just throw that out because it makes you sound like a deep thinker?

Nothing this president has done is "centrist". He is as far left as one can get (Marxist).

What planet are you on? He "prvented a huge economic collapse"? He caused it!!! Have you looked at the unemployment figures, jobs figures, etc? We're in a much bigger mess than when he took office! And things are not getting better; they are getting much worse!

People like Dick Morris (and many others) say you're wrong. Democrats are in trouble all over the place. Is it any wonder?

Most of America call themselves "conservative". 70% of Arizonians agree with that states recently passed law to deal with illegal immigration. What does that tell you?
