When he said "you've made enough money" he was speaking about the first sentence in my previous post: "We had a system where some on Wall Street could take these risks without fear of failure, because they keep the profits when it was working, and as soon as it went south, they expected you to cover their losses."
So he was talking about the risks they take on Wall Street and they privatize the profits and socialize the losses.
Nonsense.

Now, what we’re doing -- I want to be clear, we’re not trying to push financial reform because we begrudge success that's fairly earned. I mean, I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money.
Even though he doesn't begrudge success, even success fairly earned, there is a point where even those who have earned their success fairly have made enough.
You can try and spin it all you like, it just doesn't fly.

Now YOU are the one taking it out of context. He didn't insert his view into the bolded paragraph where he was talking about Wall Street abuses and loopholes. If that's what he meant he would have said it there...remember, he was off script. He could have inserted it anywhere in the speech to have the impact he intended. HE CHOSE THE CONTEXT and it is what it is....not sure why you can't accept that. You seem pretty hell bent on convincing yourself that he didn't say what he DID say.

This mirrors what he said to Joe the plumber that fateful day. He doesn't want to squelch anyone's success, but he wants to spread it around. What's yours is everybody else's too. I could not believe I heard those words coming from an American President.

You guys have a right to come up to your own conclusion as what President Obama said in his speech. People will have differing POV as to what he meant. What I object to is taking part of his speech that supports YOUR POV and doesn't allow others evaluate what he said. I know damn well that if a liberal took some of Bush's words out of context that supported their POV you and every talk show would be screeming bloody murder. Right?
That's what this thread is all about, do you understand?

they were allowed to get away with it because of certain politicians. Are you disagreeing with that? Rhetorical question because I'll never be able to understand your poorly formed response. That is the one thing I've learned in this thread.

I guess you still don't realize this happens all the time. Your far leftist side is just as guilty. Got it? doubt it..

You seem to be the master of the strawman argument. I provided a specific case and you provide nothing but generalities. At least you unintentionally admitted that Obama was taken out of context.
Nothing new. We have people here posting lies pushed by Glen Beck. It's sad that the sheep just says baaaaaa when anything is said negative regarding Obama truth or not.
A lot of right wing supporters have given Glenn Beck the honor of being their "Political Pimp".
They'll do & follow whatever he says at any cost.
