I posted this link once and I'll post it again. Take a look at the offenders in any region of the map and see if you notice a common trend in their nationalities. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to come to a rational conclusion to see where much of this country's drug problems stem from.

I love the "its only Arizona" the OP starts out with. So easy for all the wackos that normally stay within the confines of the Immigration Forum to come out of the woodwork and start cheerleading the initiative.
They don't have to actually pay for it or make it happen with an already undermanned and under funded law enforcement presence or pay for all the lawsuits that are already getting started or deal with the crushing loss of business in the state.

95% of all drugs imported into the United States, reach the market.
Legalize them, take the money away from the drug lords, tax it, control it, and be done with the waste of money that is the drug war.
We had a large problem with Canadians trafficing liquor in the 20's and 30's as well, but that all ended when we repealed prohibition.

I agree with the legalization of marijuana, but not narcotics. That would create more low points than high ones. Otherwise, your opinion is dead on correct. That, though, is another topic for another thread.

Genius, we INITIATED prohibition, narcotics have never been purposely legalized. But on certain occassions....
