How exactly is the mosque a tribute? What message is it exactly "sending"?

Do you think the Government should decide who can purchase or rent real estate?

The businesses downtown will greatly benefit. Why don't you go down there and tell them you think the building should remain empty and destroyed.

the government already does that

ever heard the LAWS of no 'adult' enetertainment within a certain distance to schools????

whether is it legal or not isnt the issue

it is in bad taste to put 'something like that' so close to the scene, and its not about anything against the muslins

would you want a 'german national' memorila right next to alscwitz????

would you want a memorial, or recognition of oswald, to be put in dallas????

would you want a kkk office, right next to where MLk was shot????

get the point

Not a valid comparison. We were not attacked by "The Muslims". We were attacked by a group who do not like the United States' presence and activities in their part of the world and in part use an extreme fundamentalist version of Islam as their excuses for their actions.

They killed other Muslims that day, innocent people who were doing nothing but going to work.

Since the "something like that" to which you object is a mosque and Islamic center, how is that "not anything against the Muslims?"

Will this mosque smother New York with those insufferable religious sounds?

Nice comparisons. That's exactly the sentiments I got when I read about that. Like a slap in the face.

And I don't agree with that either.

We weren't attacked by "The Muslims". We were attacked by Al Qaeda.

Like I said, go downtown and tell this to the businesses that have been SEVERELY affected by the loss of all of the buildings down there.

Should we start telling churches that they can't be within a certain distances of a school because of the pedophiles in the Catholic Church?

I actually lost people in the attacks, ran for my life that day. It's not a slap in the face to me. Why don't you let NY'ers decide what they would like to do?

I can have opinions. That was my opinion of what I read and how I felt after I read it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Lets see, right-wingers want government to tell you who you can and can't marry, if you can have an abortion or not and now where you can build a place of worship and recreation. Sounds like
